About the role
In support of our integrated Regional Process Technology (PT) strategy, we are seeking a dynamic Regional Process Technology Extraction Director. This role is critical in evaluating new opportunities such as capacity investment, new technology development, upgrades to existing technologies, and identifying improvements within the PT area. The successful candidate will collaborate globally with a cross-regional and cross-functional team, ensuring clearly defined action plans are validated, implemented, and executed.
Key responsibilities
Process Evaluation & Improvement: Lead the regional analysis of processes, system data, and KPIs to identify savings and improvement opportunities. Support practical evaluation and implementation.
Performance Prioritization: Differentiate and prioritize performance improvement opportunities through the Process Technology pipeline and regional strategic initiatives.
Capacity Analysis: Lead capacity analysis and investment in additional capacity to meet customer demand. Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality products with maximum throughput and minimal waste.
Technology Identification & Deployment: Identify new processing technologies and equipment. Adopt and deploy new innovative technologies based on strategic technology assessments.
Knowledge Sharing: Utilize and share knowledge across all RD&A/Engineering functions, focusing on Gold Standard Recipe Formulation and Optimization of Process Parameters.
Project Management: Size the value, complexity, feasibility, and resource requirements of opportunities. Develop an integrated roadmap for Process Technology improvements.
Third-Party Support: Support third-party infrastructure by leveraging knowledge of key RD&A providers and other SMEs.
Resource Prioritization: Work with RD&A and Engineering leadership to prioritize functional resources and time in delivering opportunities.
Collaboration & Execution: Work with cross-enterprise partners to deliver a shared program of work, leading a process excellence agenda aligned with EUM strategies.
Business Case Development: Develop business case inputs for review by regional sponsor groups, including CTO and COO leadership.
Waste Stream Analysis: Conduct waste stream analysis and coordinate value creation/cost mitigation initiatives across regional production facilities.
Production Process Optimization: Map and optimize end-to-end production processes, focusing on priority technologies and value chains.
Project Management Tools: Update and implement project management tools. Follow up on assigned actions and report progress to team leads. Create reports and presentations for global teams and other groups.
Qualifications and skills
Education: Minimum Bachelors degree in a Food or technical field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
8-10+ years in an RD&A or SME role.
Extensive experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
Deep exposure to Process Technology specialisms (e.g., Wet Processing, Extraction of Coffee & Stocks & Broths).
Team management experience at a regional or global level within a matrixed organization.
Salary Range: MIN $137,041-$212,886
