About the role

Our Jackson, WI location, is a Kerry legacy plant that has been open the longest. Come join our fast-paced team atmosphere that creates dry beverage products for Kerry customers and brands. We work hard, play hard, and give back to the community through our robust Kerry employee engagement program. We are located just 20 minutes North of the Milwaukee metro area. If you’re looking for a manufacturing facility where you can build a career and have fun while you do it, we might be the team for you. The purpose of the commercialization manager is to oversee the holistic commercialization process from start through finish at our manufacturing facilities. The commercialization manager is also responsible for continuous alignment of processes between facilities and business units.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a Project Leader for all commercialization projects (including new and extended flavor products) from initial idea through execution.

  • Coordinate meetings with R&D, Marketing/Sales, Engineering, Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Purchasing and Finance to ensure all opportunities are on course to meet the customers’ expectations and deadlines.

  • Work with R&D and Business Units to identify and understand gaps in the commercialization process.

  • Responsible for the management of cross-functional, cross-company processes between Kerry manufacturing operations and contract manufacturing operations.

  • Continually review project issues proactively to determine possible root causes and implement continuous improvement actions.

  • Facilitate StageGate meetings with the Business Unit and make necessary updates to opportunities in SalesForce.com.

  • Challenge internal teams to efficiently reach full commercialization with high margin and low risk objectives.

  • Identify and escalate risks for resolution with key stakeholders as appropriate.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Food Science, Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.

  • 5+ years of direct production/finance/engineering/supply chain management experience preferred.

  • APICS CPIM certifications a plus.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills. Strong ability to communicate, develop, manage and implement process management plans.

  • High level of corporate maturity with ability to interact, influence and align peers and senior leaders. Must be commercially savvy with high analytical skills.

  • Ability to comprehend financial statements, perform financial analysis/create and use financial models, pricing and understand profit & loss statements.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional groups while managing their own agenda in a fast paced environment.

  • Food product knowledge and food manufacturing processes inclusive of planning, supply chain, operations, engineering systems, QA systems and financial reporting and analysis a plus.

  • System understanding in MAPICS AS400, Salesforce, Stagegate, Microsoft Office, ProClarity, PowerPoint and Project Manager. SAP knowledge a plus.

  • Must be able to travel to manufacturing sites and suppliers up to 10%.
