About the role
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler must be reliable and have great attention to detail. They must have technical aptitude, knowledge of various crafts, and strong computer skills. As a support role, effective communication will be critical to the success of the role. Below is a brief overview of the position. This facility runs three shifts with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler being a 1st shift position.
Responsible for the administration of the facility Process Safety Management regulation to meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.119 as well as maintaining/updating the documentation supporting the facility implementation of the fourteen (14) elements of the Process Safety Management program.
Interface with the CMMS system to plan, schedule and kit preventative and planned work.
Track, understand and take action on backlog as well as other Maintenance KPI’s.
Identify downtime events and potentially support team in root cause analysis and/or implementation of corrective actions.
Lead smaller projects to optimize production, upkeep facility, and bring in new technologies. Coordinate vendor and contract work.

Qualifications and skills
High School graduate or GED Required
Must be able to communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding and terminology of the job.
3+ years Manufacturing Experience
Engineering degree or technical school training
Equivalent experience in lieu of training within food, beverage or pharma
Strong understanding of mechanical & electrical systems
Lead and support root cause analysis
Experience with TPM and/or Lean initiatives
Experience with predictive/preventive maintenance programs
Strong computer application skills,
network and PC business application software
Supervisory / Management experiences
Food Industry experience
Experience implementing TPM and/or Lean initiatives
Experience implementing predictive/preventive maintenance programs
Ability to inspire and cascade change
Known to be achieve results through people
Change management leadership
Ability to work in a changing and multi-task environment
