About the role

Job Summary

The primary functions of the Forklift Operator position are to safely and securely transport finished goods and raw materials between the receiving docks, storage areas, production, packaging, warehouse, and the shipping docks. Responsibilities also include using SAP to document and maintain inventory, complete inbound and outbound inspections, and ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness.

Essential Job Functions

Material handling of finished goods and raw materials using forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.

Be able to stack 4 high when needed.

Manage inventory to ensure production is using it in FIFO rotation.

Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using SAP.

Interface with truck drivers.

Perform housekeeping in own work area and assists with detailed cleaning activities in other areas of plant on a regular basis. This can occasionally mean entire shifts of cleaning duties.

All other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications and skills

High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required..

1-3 years of shipping or warehouse experience preferred.Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.

Ability to work in fast paced environment and must also adapt to frequent changes.

Must pass necessary tests to earn forklift certification.

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
